High-quality WPC boards last 20-30 years with normal use. They are UV-resistant, do not splinter and are resistant to moisture and mould. Many manufacturers offer 15-25 year warranties.
Yes, but a minimum gap of 15 cm must be maintained between the terrace surface and the house wall to prevent moisture damage. The substructure is planned accordingly.
